When his elder brother dies, Carmy returns to Chicago to take over the family business. Swapping out Michelin-star fine-dining for a sloppy sandwich shop, the young chef takes on the burden of keeping the business alive. Carmy hires a talented sous chef in Sydney to help with the transformation. The pair raise standards at The Beef and bring the staff and the food up to scratch.
